SmutWriter Erotica Writers' Ezine is my brainchild. I started this site around 2006 but didn't possess the wherewithal to successfully develop the site. After taking a break from the internet, I decided to try again. I'm pretty confident I'm on the right track this time.
SmutWriter.com is a labor of love (and hopefully profits but mostly love). I've been writing fiction since I was a kid and erotica stories since about age 24. I don't claim to be an expert but I feel I have enough experience to feel comfortable sharing my point of view. Plus, my super power is that I'm able to learn from others and pass those lessons on.
In addition to talking about writing erotica, SmutWriter also offers advice on fiction writing in general. Writing great erotica isn't just about sex. It's also about developing characters your readers care about and writing descriptions that gets them hot. I plan to post creative writing prompts to inspire you, market leads to help you get published, and marketing advice to help you find readers. There will also be advice on blog fiction writing, an under-served but growing industry.
